After receiving Holy Communion and at the end of the Divine Liturgy, holy bread is offered by Altar Servers for all to receive. It is blessed bread, and as such should be eaten carefully so that crumbs do not fall. Leftover crumbs should be placed outside in the bushes. It is a pious tradition to take a few extra pieces of holy bread in a sealed bag back home so that it might be consumed with the repeating of post-communion prayers during the week.
